The church allegedly started saying the man was to be transferred, but it was a subtle move to sack him. He is said to have stopped going to church completely after he was allegedly edged out. The story goes: “My husband is a pastor in the UK who was sacked because he couldn’t meet up with offering target. We have been in the UK for four years now. My husband is a pastor here, but he also has a side job like a regular job.

“So, recently, they have been on him about offering target. And before I married him, when I see all these things online that they give offering target, I have never believed it until he started telling me about it. He didn’t even start telling me initially until it became pressing for him. “Even if they are giving targets in things like this, I didn’t expect it to extend all the way to the UK. I thought it was going to end in Africa or in Nigeria. I didn’t even know that my husband has been putting money from his salary into the church offering just so he can meet a specific target.

According to the story, the pastor was fired despite adding his own money into the church offering, and also not being a full-time pastor. “To the point that they fired my husband here in the UK. Not like they are paying him one important salary. Yet, they have to sack him. As I speak to you now, my husband does not even go to church anymore.” Read more:
